Employed for over eighteen years as a professional building inspector, I have served as an inspector and project manager on numerous new and existing commercial and residential projects in the Maryland, Delaware and Virginia areas.  In 1992, I established The Michael A. Picarello Co., which provides inspection services for real estate transactions. My experience includes field inspection services from pre-construction environmental assessments to forensic investigation of failed structures. I have also served as a corporate Radiation Safety Officer and have been employed as a professional roofer and builder. Completed inspection reports can be provided on site or electronically transmitted the next business day.  Reports also include a suggested maintenance schedule. If requested, major repair cost estimates can be provided for the client’s peace of mind. Other services available include above ground oil storage tank inspections, septic system evaluations and well water quality testing as well as radon testing, lead paint, asbestos, indoor air quality testing and mold sampling.
